The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Regency, HM Wardan, has ordered the Puri Husada Tembilahan Hospital to provide optimal services for Ega, a 6-year-old boy whose hair is wrapped in a pompong engine or a motorized boat until her scalp peels off.
The regent said he was concerned when he received information about the accident that happened to Ega, a girl from Tokolan Village, Mandah District.
“My heart feels very sad when I hear this news and it is fitting for us to be here to provide assistance so that Ananda Ega’s pain can immediately subside,” said the Regent on Saturday, July 10, 2021 night.
Ega, the poor girl who is currently being treated in the Flamboyant Surgery Room at the Puri Husada Tembilahan Hospital, is known to not have a social security card, such as the BPJS Health Card, which requires the treatment costs to be borne independently by the family.
Responding to this, the Regent also asked the Social Service to immediately assist in the management of the victim’s BPJS. In addition, the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indragiri Hilir Regency also helped the needs of Ega’s medical expenses, which are now being treated by his mother.
Not only BPJS and treatment of victims but the costs of accompanying families during the treatment period will also be assisted through Baznas of Indragiri Hilir, because according to the Regent, victims and their families are included in Asnaf who are entitled to receive zakat.
“This is what we can do for Ananda Ega. Hopefully, Ananda can be given a speedy recovery and the family can always be patient in facing this test,” said the Regent.
In addition, the Regent also reminded the entire community, especially Pompong owners, to pay attention to the safety and security of passengers.
“We hope that all parties pay attention to the safety design of the pompong machine so that similar cases do not happen again. It is sad to see children who are victims,” said the Regent.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Puri Husada Tembilahan Hospital, Dr. Saut Pakpahan, confirmed that patient Ega, a girl who had an accident that caused her scalp to peel off, was being treated at the Puri Husada Tembilahan Hospital.
“Patient Ega has been treated in accordance with the hospital’s health service procedures since the beginning of his admission until now he is in the inpatient room,” said dr. Saut in a written statement.
Furthermore, the Head of BAZNAS Indragiri Hilir Regency, Yunus Hasbi expressed his appreciation for the concern and concern of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Regent for the incident that befell the victim named Ega.
Yunus said that his party will immediately follow up on the Regent’s direction because the victim is considered to meet the requirements for zakat recipients.
“All we have to do is collect the victim’s personal data and coordinate with the hospital regarding the payment of the treatment fee,” said Yunus via a cellular connection.
After the hearing, there will be the further treatment which we will pay for, based on the experience of mustahik who has experienced similar incidents before, 100 percent of the cost of cosmetics is borne by Baznas.
“I have coordinated with dr. Saut, that what is needed for further treatment is cosmetic, thank goodness later if it is included in BPJS dependents,” said Yunus.
The incident that happened to Ega began when he wanted to go with his family to deliver wood from Mandah District to Kateman District using a pompong.
At that time, it was 6 o’clock in the morning.
Due to the cold weather, Ega was covered by his mother just before Pompong left.
Unexpectedly, when the machine was turned on, the cloth used to cover Ega was wrapped in the cocoon machine and pulled her hair until her scalp peeled off.
