Along with the number of complaints regarding security guards or security that are not equipped with the facilities for the Employment Social Security Administration from outsourcing companies to the Riau Regional House of Representatives, so the Riau Regional House of Representatives plans to summon several related parties.
Among them are the Manpower Office (Disnaker), the Employment Social Security Administration, and related outsourcing or outsourcing companies.
This was conveyed directly by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives of Riau, H Agung Nugroho SE.
Moreover, according to Agung, currently, many companies, agencies, and hospitals are using security services by collaborating with outsourcing or outsourcing companies.
“The reports that come in are not once or twice, but there have been many. Many of the security guards spread across several companies, agencies, hospitals, came from outsourcing companies, who were not registered with the Employment Social Security Administration by the company, especially in the midst of a Covid-19 pandemic,” he said, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
“We ask companies to pay attention to their Employment Social Security Administering Agency. We plan to call on the related parties on Thursday. Later, if there are findings, if that is the case, we recommend the outsourcing company to terminate the contract from the user company,” he added.
To note, when referring to Law no. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, Outsourcing is known as the provision of labor services as regulated in articles 64, 65, and 66.
In the world of Industrial Psychology, it is noted that outsourced employees are contract employees supplied from a company that provides outsourcing services.
Initially, outsourcing companies provide types of work that are not directly related to the company’s core business and do not care about career paths. Such as telephone operators, call centers, security guards, and cleaning services.
However, nowadays, the use of outsourcing is expanding to various lines of company activities.
By using outsourced workers, the company does not need to bother providing food facilities or allowances, to health insurance/BPJS Kesehatan. Because the one who is responsible is the outsourcing company itself.
