Watu Maladong is another best beach to enjoy the sunset in Sumba, Indonesia. It offers beautiful sunsets. Watu Malandong is probably one of the best-kept secrets of Sumba. Not too many Sumbanese themselves are in the know about this extraordinary beach.
On this beach, you will find a row of large and tall clusters of rocks, two cliff-front with panoramic views over Watu Maladong Beach.
You can see beautiful sunset against the background of high rocks, as well as from the rock gaps formed naturally.
The beach gets its name from the large rock (Watu) that rises dramatically from the sand creating a magical sight of the ocean and beach with the Watu in the foreground.
Both blocks have direct access to the estuary beach where the Lokopari river meets the ocean.
This beach is located in Kahale Village, Kodi Bangedo District, Southwest Sumba Regency.
