A Rice field is a place where farmers do their activity to grow rice. Farmers who have paddy fields on hillsides often have to make terraces so the rice fields can be easily managed.

Apparently, the farmers’ hard work to build the terraces in the rice fields creates incredible natural scenery.

For those of you who like to travel for nature will definitely love the view of rice fields with terracing design.

Luckily, Indonesia has rows of beautiful rice fields that are very interesting to visit.

A unique rice field you can find is in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) called the Londok rice fields. It resembles a spider’s web or often called Lodok by local residents.

If you are curious about the scenery, you can come directly to Cancar Village, Ruteng District, Manggarai Regency, Flores, where this rice field is located.

Besides being unique, here you will also be spoiled with views of green hills, accompanied by a cool atmosphere, suitable for those who want a moment of relaxation from dense activity. To see the beautiful scenery of the spider-web rice terrace, you have to climb the hill in Meler Village.

This rice field is deliberately formed as a unique spider web because it is associated with customary land management (Lingko).

Lingko, as the system of land division, is a customary land that is owned communally to meet the common needs of indigenous peoples and the land distribution is carried out by the customary leader or Tu’a Teno.
