Space travel schedule is getting closer. These indications appear after SpaceX managed to bring two NASA astronauts back to Earth last weekend.
Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley are part of the 2nd demo test flight to the International Space Station (ISS). The two space explorers are known to have used the Crew Dragon capsule belonging to SpaceX.
President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, Gwynne Shotwell, said that the success of the mission certainly shows Crew Dragon’s ability to achieve commercial space flight.
SpaceX is partnering with NASA to fly six manned missions to the ISS. Meanwhile, for space tourism, the company founded by Elon Musk is collaborating with Space Adventures and Axiom Space.
The plan in this first phase of space tourism will carry four individuals, where three of them are public and the other is a mission commander from Axiom Space.
The SpaceX-style space tour will last 10 days to stay on the ISS. Located above an altitude of 400 kilometers from the surface of the Earth, tourists will feel the sensation of circling the Earth and amazing views of outer space.
