Bill Gates thinks that we’ll see the end of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
He revealed this in a recent interview with Wired, where he answered numerous questions surrounding COVID-19. Bill Gates further stated what he feels could be the timeline for COVID-19 to slowly phase out from our lives, stating, “And that makes me feel like, for the rich world, we should largely be able to end this thing by the end of 2021, and for the world at large by the end of 2022. That is only because of the scale of the innovation that’s taking place.”
He did, however, mention that this will come with catastrophic damage to economies around the world.
Gates has been contributing a lot to ending the COVID-19 pandemic, since day one. Whether it is providing test kits to the people of Washington DC or transporting 15,000 medicinal molecules to be shipped to a lab in Belgium to test a potential cure to the novel coronavirus, he has left no stone unturned.
Last week, he announced that he will be paying USD 150 million to Serum Institute India to manufacture 100 million COVID-19 vaccines.
