The Regent of Indragiri Hilir, HM Wardan, welcomed the working visit of the member of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia Committee II Riau, Edwin Pratama Putra, on Monday, August 10, 2020.
In the meeting that was held at the official house, the Regent of Inhil, HM Wardan was accompany by the Deputy Regent, Syamsuddin Uti, Implementation of Task District Secretary for the District, Fauzar, and leaders of Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government.
At the meeting, the Regent hope that the Members of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia from Riau would also pay attention to the development conditions in Indragiri Hilir Regency which is part of the Riau Province.
“Indragiri Hilir is the largest district that has never been expand, and the population is mostly coconut farmers,” said the Regent of Indragiri Hilir.
The dependence of the community on coconuts is very high, so this can cause economic activity.
“The price of this coconut often fluctuates. Various efforts have been made by the local government to fix this,” added HM Wardan.
Furthermore, the Regent of Indragiri Hilir 2 Period also said that the infrastructure owned by the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government was in the form of 2 ocean ports, an airport, and road conditions.
“With the arrival of Pak Edwin, we complained about Inhil’s potential. It should also be note, since from my first period as Regent, I focus on building infrastructure in Indragiri Hilir with various programs, namely DMIJ (Desa Maju Inhil Jaya), and to build spirituality we made programs. “Indragiri Hilir has a lot of potential that can be develope, both in fisheries and in the plantation sector,” he added.
Meanwhile, member of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia Committee II Riau, Edwin said he was ready to accept the aspirations of the Indragiri Hilir Regency regional government.
In addition, he also appreciate the DMIJ (Desa Maju Inhil Jaya), Plus Integrate program and hope that it could continue in the future.
