When the world enters a global recession, it cannot be denied that many people will face the consequences.
Mainly from an economic slowdown as industry stalled and businesses struggled to survive.
There are many societies that are facing even more dire circumstances because of the pandemic.
It is not uncommon for poverty to be an excuse for people to take desperate actions to stay alive.
However, that did not apply to this aunt.
Having little or no savings, it is people like this aunt who sell nasi lemak packets for only RM1.
His story was recently viral on Twitter, netizen @RoobGanesan who posted his story told him that he often met him.
The aunt had set up a small, simple shop by the side of the road that sold packets of nasi lemak.
Out of curiosity, one day he decided to stop on the road to buy some for himself and his staff members.
When asked how much a package cost, the aunt replied: “RM1.”
“I bought 10 packages on the spot, with plans to share them with my staff.”
“While chatting with him, I learned that he also has cancer and that his life has been greatly affected by the MCO period.”
Saddened by her suffering, Mr. Ganesan then took the responsibility of helping her aunt.
He offers a new source of income and, by chance, thinks of a friend looking for a job.
As an onion entrepreneur, his friend needs workers to help peel onions in a restaurant.
He also introduced the aunt to his friend, and Ganesan managed to get a job for him.
“Thank you very much. You two are like angels sent down to help me,” said the aunt.
Her tweet shows how moments of kindness can actually change a person’s life for the better.
