President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will award 9 Bintang Jasa Pratama and 13 Bintang Jasa Nararya to medical personnel who died caring for Covid-19 patients.
Jokowi gives the awards at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, Thursday (13/8).
Presidential spokesperson, Fadjroel Rachman explained,
this gift is the highest respect for all medical personnel who are at the forefront of treatment in Indonesia.
“Deep condolences also conveyed to the families of the medical personnel who died,
as well as to colleagues who are still struggling with Covid-19 patients.

He said the submission of 22 service stars is the first stage,
which will show the next stage with the same stars and compensation to medical personnel who fall.
