The electric car brand from China will build a factory in Batam in 2021.
The plan is the result of cooperation with PT. Sumber Energi Sukses Makmur (SESM).
The two of them recently signed an MoU on the Cooperation of Electric Car Assembly (EV) in the electric car segment with low speed suitable for urban areas.
Batam is a factory location because the city already has the infrastructure and is a free trade area.
This electric car will use electric battery technology with raw materials to be obtained from Sulawesi.
Today Sunshine’s management, Nick said that this collaboration was their first international collaboration in Indonesia.
Today Sunshine itself is a private company that was founded in 2014 and has produced around 50 thousand units of low-speed electric vehicles so far.
On its official website, Today Sunshine not only makes cars but also produces batteries such as Lead Acid Battery Electric Car to Lithium Battery.
