In the letter, President Xi said that relations between the two countries were well maintained.
The Chinese Embassy to Indonesia in a statement via its Facebook page said that the letter contained a greeting to Jokowi regarding the 75th Indonesian Independence Day which falls on 17 August.
In his letter, President Xi expected the two countries to encourage the recovery of production and joint development of Belt and Road.
It also includes maintaining multilateralism and the general situation of joint epidemic management globally.
“Make a positive contribution to the health and welfare of the people of both countries and the whole world,” said the statement.
According to the Chinese Embassy, ​​President Xi also stated that he paid great attention to relations between China and Indonesia.
