Starting from a quarrel over an ox, a wife could burn her husband by pouring oil and starting a fire.
As a result, both of them suffered serious burns.
Kasat Reskrim Serdang Bedagai, Adjunct Commissioner Pandu Winata, explained that the unfortunate incident began with a quarrel between Jumadi (60) and his wife Murni (50) at their residence on Sunday (16 August 2020) night.
“The quarrel started when Jumadi’s victim was angry because Bima (26), who was his stepson, shifted the cattle into the pen,” said AKP Pandu when confirmed Tuesday (18 August 2020).
This turned out to make Jumadi angry and kicked Bima out of the location of their oxen.
Feeling offended by the attitude of his stepfather, complained to his mother.
Receiving a report from her son, Murni then went to Jumadi and reprimanded him not to scold Bima.
However, Jumadi became furious that an argument broke out between the two.
“Korban Murni got angry and burned down the back of their house which was used as a business place to sell palm wine.”
“The fire was quickly extinguished by residents who were enjoying the palm wine drink at that time,” he said.
Not long ago, Murni, who had not yet subsided her frustration with her husband, then poured oil again on Jumadi’s body, who was sitting in front of their house.
Stunned by Murni’s actions, Jumadi also lit a fire on his body and hugged his wife until both of them caught fire.
