In a tragic incident, a 5-year-old boy named Cannon Hinnant was fatally shot while playing outside his North Carolina home on Agust 9, 2020.
At that time, the boy was playing with his sisters when the shooting occurred.
The mother of the boy, Bonny Waddell wants his alleged killer to get the death penalty. Mrs. Waddell plans to seek the death penalty for the killer of her son.
Mrs. Waddell told news station WRAL, “We lost a big piece of our family.”
Darius N. Sessoms, 25, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting.
Cannon’s father, Austin Hinnant, said Sessoms has been his neighbor for eight years, and that they had dinner together the night before the tragic incident.
