The demolition was witnessed and inaugurated by the Deputy Regent of Indragiri Hilir, Syamsuddin Uti, accompanied by officials from the Office of the Harbormaster and Port Authority Class IV Tembilahan.
“In the future, all goods coming and going by sea are expected to pass through the port of Parit 21. Because, the loading and unloading activities here are legal and the port that has been built, which costs billions with government funds, must be utilized,” said SU.
“In the near future there will also be loading and unloading of other materials, such as food and other necessities in order to support the development and progress of Indragiri Hilir Regency in the future,” he added.
