In an incident tragic, a pregnant Indian bison was shot dead by poachers in Kerala – India. As information, Bison is the largest species among the wild cattle in the world. And it reaching a height of up to 220 cm with weighing around 600 kg up to 1500 kg.
This was not the first incident that occurred in that country, because just a few months ago, a pregnant elephant died after biting an explosive-laden fruit.
Two cruel incidents left the netizens shocked and felt outraged. The cruel incident of the killed of a pregnant Indian bison happened in the Puncha forest in Chakkikuzhi forest station limits in Malappuram District.
As quoted News24xx.com from TOI, the crime happened last week and came to light after forest officials raided the house of one of the accused, Abu. And five more men suspects named Suresh Babu, Busthan, Asif, Ashik, and Suhil were arrested.
From the investigation, the six men told to police that they went for an illegal hunt at a private property in Poopathiripara on August 10. Then, one of them ie Abu who owned a gunshot the animal down. Then they divide the catch, but they did not realize that the bison was pregnant.
But, the six men pulled out the fetus of that bison and cut it into meat pieces. Total, they divided over 200 kgs of meat for each other and discarded the skull and bones along the forest before leaving.
