After missing since August 17, 2020, from Kotwali area of Bhadohi – India, a 7-year-old girl found dead 3 days later after locals reported a body floating in the river near where she was last seen.
Family members claim that she was raped first before killed. And also the body was allegedly burnt.
As quoted News24xx.com from TOI, police first registered a kidnapping case under IPC section 363.
UP Police has formed four teams to nab the accused and also taking the help of the crime branch to solve the case.
One of her relatives has named the owner of a brick kiln in the area as one of the suspects. The victim was abducted from outside the village, then raped her in a secluded place and then burnt her body with acid to mutilate her face to prevent her from being identified.
Police said the body of the victim has been sent for postmortem examination.
This was not the first tragic incident that occurred in India, before, several cases of crime against minor girls have been reported.
