This was conveyed by the Regent of Siak, Drs.H.Alfedri, M.Si, when giving direction at the event on the Danger of Narcotics and Drugs (Narcotics), as well as the Socialization of Law Enforcement of Health Protocol Disciplines to the community in the hall of Kampung Teluk Batil, Sungai Apit District.
He said that the dangers of drugs during a pandemic have a very high and multi-fold risk for the safety of the souls of people of all ages.
“Using drugs, the immune system will decrease very drastically, so that the impact will make it easier for various chronic diseases to attack the user. This applies to all age levels because drugs have damaged adolescents, the elderly, men, and women. will make it easier for Covid-19 to enter the body, ”explained Alfedri.
Alfedri then reminded all elements of society to stay away and jointly prevent the circulation of drugs from entering the village area. According to him, these drugs are the main trigger for other crimes to emerge and disturb the security and public order.
“I invite community leaders, youth leaders, religious leaders, and the community of Teluk Batil Village to work together to prevent drugs from entering our village.
Especially the youth of Teluk Batil, don’t even try if they are addicted, not only have they damaged themselves, but security and public order will also be disturbed, because from this drug other crimes arise such as theft, robbery, even murder, and other crimes. Regent Alfedri in the next opportunity explained that currently, the struggle against the spread of Covid-19 has entered a very worrying point.
“Apart from fighting against drugs, we are currently fighting Covid-19. We have entered the peak phase of the spread of this deadly virus where every day there are increasing cases. This condition is very worrying and requires an active role from the community to prevent it,” he explained.
Regarding this, Alfedri then outlined Presidential Instruction number 6 of 2020 concerning law enforcement of the Covid-19 health protocol discipline to the public.
“On August 4, 2020, the President issued Presidential Instruction Number 6 of 2020 concerning law enforcement of health protocol discipline. This Inpres contains various regulations related to the implementation of health protocol disciplines as well as sanctions for violators.
“In this Presidential Instruction, we must always implement strict health protocols, especially wearing masks, because 75% of these masks can protect us from the threat of Covid-19.
