In an incident tragic in India, for many years a 25-year-old woman was raped by 139 people.
As cited News24xx.com from TOI, known that the woman got divorced in 2011, a year after her marriage in 2010.
From a police report, some family members of her ex-husband also harassed her sexually to her. Now, the woman was sent for a medical checkup in a hospital in Punjagutta.
The case under relevant IPC sections and SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been filed. A police official at Punjagutta told that they have registered the case and makes a further investigation.
He said, “The woman claimed she got threats and sexual abuse and faced exploitation by 139 people over time in many places.”
Nowadays, India is one of the most unsafe countries for women, and crimes of violence against women are still rampant.
Despite the laws to saved women and children getting in India a little stricter, but threats can often prevent them from filing a complaint.
