Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg belongs to the centimillionaire club group.
His wealth soared after Instagram, an application included in the Facebook Group, released a Reel feature similar to TikTok in 50 countries.
So, what exactly are centimillionaires?
Quoting PageSix, Sunday (9 August), a person can be called a centimillionaire if his or her wealth has reached at least US $ 100 billion or more than the US $ 100 billion.
If converted to rupiah at an exchange rate of IDR14,600 per US dollar, the value is equivalent to IDR1,460 trillion.
Zuckerberg’s assets increased significantly because Facebook’s share price rose more than 6 percent.
Before Zuckerberg, there were two other people who had entered the centimillionaire club.
They are Jeff Bezos as the founder of Amazon and Bill Gates as the founder of Microsoft.
Quoted from various sources, Bezos’ wealth value this year has increased by the US $ 74 billion to the US $ 189.3 billion.
Bezos’ assets are said to have jumped the US $ 13 billion in one day.
The increase in Bezos’ assets was driven by the increase in Amazon’s share price since last December 2018.
This is in line with the increasing trend of online shopping in the world.
Meanwhile, Gates’ current net worth is the US $ 113.2 billion.
Just like Zuckerberg and Bezos, Gates’ wealth is also influenced by the movement of the share price of the company he owns, namely Microsoft.
