DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan plans to reopen cinemas in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing a number of health protocols.
This was said after the meeting between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Wednesday (26 August).
Regarding the certainty of the opening time, Anies has not detailed that.
He only invited the cinema to prepare itself.
“We underline that preparations please do, execution depends on Jakarta,” he said.
“We will prepare a complete regulation and include all elements,” he added.
According to him, the opening of the cinema has gone through studies and studies by experts in various countries.
He gave an example that South Korea did not close theaters when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its peak.
“Currently, the activities of the biscops are running as usual in 47 countries,” he claimed.
Even so, Anies stated that there would be strict implementation of the COvid-19 prevention protocol in theaters.
Among them, for the cinema, first, it is obligatory to apply 3M (wearing a mask, maintaining a safe distance, washing hands), when entering or leaving the cinema.
Second, regulating air circulation.
Third, cleaning the room regularly.
Fourth, seat placement must be in accordance with the customer identity.
“There you can control who sits where. This is similar to an airplane,” said Anies.
For the audience, Anies asked not to talk to each other while in the cinema.
Even if you talk to a person you know, at least you shouldn’t face each other.
The DKI Provincial Government has also threatened to close cinemas that later do not comply with health protocols.
