Using his motorbike, after office hours were over, he headed to the location where the tornado victims lived.
Accompanied by his wife, Emi Sembiring, the man who also serves as the Secretary of Kesbangpol Inhil met the victims whose houses were damaged to the point of being destroyed by strong winds on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
In a small yellow post, the former Kateman sub-district head was sitting with a resident whose house was damaged, with tears in his eyes, Marlis also expressed his sadness with what happened to the residents on Jalan Harapan.
“On behalf of ourselves and the Vioni Bersaudara Foundation, we admit that we are sorry about what happened to you and your mother,” said Marlis.
He then handed over aid in the form of necessities to the victims who had gathered at the post.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please accept gracefully what we are giving. “Hopefully there is more sustenance for us, we will bring back assistance to you and your mother,” he said.
