A man from Demak, Central Java, stole the attention because he often prayed alone in the Pelita field, Tridonorejo Village, Bonang District, Demak. The man named Mualimin (53) routinely converts to Allah from 09.00 am to 10.00 am.
When met by detik.com, Friday (28 August) yesterday, Mualimin seemed to park his motorbike on the sidelines.
He is seen wearing a black cap and carrying a prayer rug and Yasin book.
The hot weather did not reduce the solemnity of the prayers.
The noise of the children playing in the field also did not disturb Mualimin from praying and reading Yasin ‘books.
Mualimin admitted that he prayed for the Almighty so that the Coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak would soon disappear. The resident of Tridonorejo Village said that he usually performed the Dhuha prayer, Istikharah, refused reinforcements prayers, and brought Yasin and Tahlil.
“We prostrate, ask Allah, to reflect on our mistakes. Pray for the sins of our friends, family, and all of Indonesia, hopefully, this disease and epidemic will soon be lifted and gone. So that the community will be calm and stable again,” said Mualimin after praying in the middle of Pelita Desa Field. Tridonorejo, Kecamatan, Bonang, Demak, Friday (28 August 2020).
He said that the desire to pray came from his personal initiative.
“I am a person who does not have. I live in world affairs, the important thing is that I struggle.
Acceptance of business or not is different. The important thing is I prostrate to Allah, especially since there is COVID-19 like this, “said Mualimin, who has also been a guard with honorary status at the Bonang District Office for 14 years.
“I’ve been praying like this for almost five months, if someone likes it or doesn’t like it, please.
If someone says that I am heretical, so be it, “said Mualimin.
Mualimin has the principle that all actions must be based on distress.
“I hope let’s pray to Allah together. All these actions must be based on hardships. Hardships are like this.
Prayers could be in the mosque, but we are facing an epidemic, so it must be like this, dare to be hot, dare to be difficult. First health, secondly prays, “said the man who is also the caretaker of the tomb of the local figure Mbah Hasan Bakem.
Interviewed separately, the village apparatus of Tridonorejo Sutadi said Mualimin was a resident.
According to him, the figure of Mualimin is a good person.
