A 15-year-old teenager in Batam, Riau Islands (Kepri), was beaten to death by his own friend.
This unfortunate incident began with bullying or ridicule of the body of a 16-year-old teenager who was the suspect.
Head of the Regional Child Supervision and Protection Commission (KPPAD) Kepri Erry Syahrial said this incident occurred in mid-August 2020.
At that time, the two teenagers were playing near their residence.
The child who became the victim was said to have fallen into a coma after being hit.
However, at midnight, the victim vomited at home.
“In the middle of the night this victim vomited and then his father took him to the hospital. The doctor said, after the X-rays,
‘Sir, what’s wrong with this child? The father doesn’t know yet, ‘No, sir’. Finally, we sought out what happened to his son, to his friends, they just found out that this child had been beaten, “he said.
Erry said the victim fell into a coma and died on August 14, 2020, or a few days after being hospitalized.
He also said that the perpetrator has a body and is a high school student.
Meanwhile, the victim was a junior high school student.
He explained that there had been attempts at diversion when the victim was in a coma because the alleged perpetrator and victim were still minors.
“At that time the victim was still in a coma in the hospital, because the threat at that time was under 5 years of torture and there is still a chance for diversion.
Diversion attempts were made, failed, the victim’s parents wanted the case to be continued, did not want to make peace.
Further cases, then how many days later the victim died, the charges against the perpetrator were higher.

The victim’s parents are said to hope that this case is handled completely.
Meanwhile, the parents of the alleged perpetrator also said that their children were ready to take responsibility for their actions.
