Iranian musician Mehdi Rajabian said he was facing trial for collaborating with female singers and dancers.
The 30-year-old, who has been jailed twice on music-related charges, said he was arrested two weeks ago for his latest project.
His latest album, which is incomplete, is known to include a number of female vocalists.

“The regime wants to silence my voice,” Rajabian told the BBC.
“They insisted that I stop playing music.”
The musician, who lives in the northern Iranian city of Sari, said he was summoned by police on August 10, who arrested him and took him to court.
Rajabian said a judge told him that his latest project was “promoting prostitution”.
However, he was successfully released because his family could pay bail.
Rajabian said the arrests came after he was interviewed by the BBC about his upcoming album.
During the interview he published that the video would feature the famous Persian classical dancer, Helia Bandeh, interpreting the music.
The BBC has contacted Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance for comment and clarification on the case, but there has been no response.
