A man in the Indian city of Hyderabad has no money to perform the final rites for his deceased mother.
So, he was forced to leave the body of the 70-year-old woman on the path near their apartment.
The son admitted his mother had a fever for the past few days, before passing away on Saturday.
Not knowing what to do, he left his body wrapped in a blanket on a trail in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad.
After several residents in the neighborhood saw the body, they alerted the local police.
Investigations revealed that the woman used to beg in the area and lived with her son, who was a guard at an apartment complex.
