Authorities in the Swedish city of Lund spread chicken droppings in a downtown park to prevent crowds at a festival.
Tens of thousands of people usually come to the city in the southern region to celebrate Walpurgis Night, an agenda held in Scandinavian countries.
But the government doesn’t want people to gather in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported by the BBC, Thursday (3 April).
In addition, Sweden has not implemented a lockdown. The data shows that residents consciously practice social distancing.
The Chairman of the Local Council Environment Committee, Gustav Lundblad said 1 ton of chicken manure distributed can also serve as a fertilizer that can fertilize plants and grass in the garden.
“We get a chance to fertilize the grass, and at the same time it will smell so bad that it might not be so nice to sit and have a beer.”
