In a tragic incident, a young motorcyclist named Franco Quejuan, 19 was struck by a driver in the Bronx while he going the wrong way.
Then, he died of his injuries days later and the driver was charged with driving without a license. The driver of the minivan was identified by police as Richard Alvarez, 28-year-old.
Police said, before the incident, Quejuan was riding his Suzuki motorcycle against traffic on Waterbury Ave in Westchester Square at 4:15 a.m. on Aug. 29, 2020. 3
And he slammed into the front of a Honda Odyssey minivan that driven by Alvarez, that heading towards him near Seabury Ave.
Quejuan was thrown from the motorcycle onto the pavement. And the paramedics rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died three days later.
The driver of the minivan decided to drove off after he struck Quejuan, but surrendered to authorities a few hours later.
