As cited News24xx.com from the Sidney Morning Herald reported that the customs officials of Australian have destroyed a USD 19,000 Saint Laurent alligator skin handbag from an Australian woman.
It was seized because the bag didn’t have an import permit.
The customs officials told that it was seized after a woman from Australia makes an unidentified purchased from the designer handbag, through online situs in a boutique in France.
According to the Morning Herald, the woman forgot to pay for the $50 import permit.
As information, for buying and selling alligator skin products in Australia is allowed, but they have scratch regulated because the crocodiles are protected species.
