After a sailor went missing from a U.S. Navy ship in the North Arabian Sea, a search and rescue mission is underway on Sunday.
The sailor who has not been publicly identified, could not be found aboard the USS Nimitz.
As cited News24xx.com from ABC News, the Navy officials, Cmdr. Rebecca Rebarich confirmed, “After the sailor was not located upon a search onboard, the activation of the search and rescue was held.”
As information, the USS Nimitz is an aircraft carrier and left for the Pacific and the Middle East in April 2020.
Rebarich told to ABC News, “Until now, the search for the missing sailor is being carried out by the Nimitz and the USS Princeton. The USS Princeton is a guided-missile cruiser.”
