Dozens of nurses in the Covid-19 quarantine room at the Regional Hospital of the Sulbar Regional Hospital were unilaterally dismissed by the hospital.
They were also told to leave the lodging they were staying in.
In addition, they admit that their three months’ salary has not been paid to them.
This made the thirteen nurses confused and unable to return to their hometowns.
With limited financial conditions, they also don’t know where to go.
One of the nurses named Heri Kuswandi said they were surprised by the hospital’s sudden decision.
Thirteen nurses were disappointed because they did not get direct information about their dismissal.
In fact, the inn manager asked them to leave the location where they live.
Dozens of nurses were eventually forced to join forces to rent a boarding house.
This is because they do not have the money to return home.
The nurses hope that the hospital will immediately pay for the 3 months incentive that has not been given.
When confirmed, the Director of the Regional Hospital Dr. Indah denied firing 13 nurses from the Covid-19 quarantine room for no reason.
He said this was part of rolling employees.
“This is not dismissal, this is just resting, rolling because they have been on duty for more than five months and need a refresher,” said Indah.
Rolling, he said, needed to maintain immunity.
Regarding salaries, hospital management admits that they are processing the honorarium of dozens of nurses.
