A turtle in Wuhan was found dead and only a skeleton remains.
The turtles reportedly belonged to a student in Wuhan who had originally left the city before the pandemic hit in January.
The student left a little food and water.
He estimates that the food and water is sufficient to feed his pet turtles for 40 days.
However, unfortunately, Wuhan was isolated, leaving the student only able to return to the city in August.
It was about eight months after he left the poor little tortoise.
As reported by Mothership.sg, the tortoise was finally found dead on the balcony and only its skeleton was left.
The student mentioned that he was mentally prepared for it because he knew there was no way his pet could last that long alone.
He also put his pet tortoise skeleton on his study table.
