The dispute over the inheritance of the late Sinar Mas founder Eka Tjipta Widjaja has entered a new phase.
The initial trial had not yet taken place regarding the IDR 737 trillion asset, the three half brothers who became the defendants attacked Freddy Widjaja who was originally the plaintiff.
Three half brothers of Eka Tjipta’s first wife, Trini Dewi Lasuki, filed an appeal to the Supreme Court (MA) regarding the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court (PN) which established Freddy as a legal child.
Indra Widjaja as Cassation Petitioner I, Muktar Widjaja as Cassation Petitioner II and Franky Oesman Widjaja as Cassation Petitioner III, against Freddy Widjaja as Cassation Petitioner.
Freddy explained the reason he was opposed on cassation.
One of them said that Freddy was the child of an illicit relationship between Eka Tjipta and his mother, Lidia Herawati Rusly, so that the appeal applicant felt that Freddy did not have the right to be called Eka Tjipta’s legitimate son.
“There are various reasons they (the cassation petitioner felt) were not involved in the determination process, continued to slander me that I was the child of adultery from my father and my mother was very impudent,” he said.
Feeling unacceptable, Freddy will send a counter appeal to the appeal against the appeal through his attorney, Fahmi Bachmid.
The counter cassation memory will be submitted to the Supreme Court this week.
The inaugural session regarding the IDR 737 trillion asset has been postponed.
