The Acting Education Office of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Faturahman was elected as Chairman of the Teachers Association of the Republic of Indonesia (PGRI) in Indragiri Hilir for the period 2020-2025.
The event which was opened by the Regent of Indragiri Hilir that represented by Tengku Juhardi was also attended by the Head of PGRI Riau, the Chairperson of the PGRI district of Indragiri Hilir, and also by the General Chairperson of the Central PGRI and the Chair of the Sumatra PGRI region through a video conference.
On that occasion, Tengku Juhardi said that the election was an effort to refresh the composition of the PGRI management and also to advancing the world of education in Indragiri Hilir.
He also said there was still a lot of work to be done by the new management, especially in terms of teacher protection.
“The improvement of the human resources (HR) of teachers through the PGRI organization forum should be carried out continuously, so
we can achieve the goal of the organization as soon as possible,” he said.
For information, according to the results of the XXII Conference, two deputy chairmen were also selected, ie HM Rizal Fahlawi and Beti Hasniati, Secretary, Taslim and Treasurer, Taufik.
