Samsung held a (fantasy) Galaxy Unpacked event in early August, taking advantage of the new Note 20 series and Galaxy Live buds. After that, they held a second, smaller unfilled event, launching the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 2. Now, the company is having a third launch event in less than two months, which was scheduled to take place on September 23, and is being marketed under the slogan “Unpacked for every fan”.
The jury has already explained why the accident happened, as Samsung sent out an invitation to attend the event, which includes a two-point graphic the size of the phone. We have all the clues so far for what we’ll see on September 23.
Of course, we can always speculate. It is possible that Samsung will release the “Fan Edition” of the phone that was already launched this year. Or maybe we’ll look at other devices and accessories that aren’t real smartphones but are somehow connected to the Galaxy ecosystem for products. Or maybe we will see a Bixby-based Samsung Galaxy Home Smart Speaker that was first announced more than two years ago and has yet to be released. (do not hold your breath.)
It is also possible that the accident was caused by software-related hardware. Samsung may use the fact that capturing virtual events is relatively inexpensive compared to physical events as an opportunity to cast more eyes on upcoming EUI 3.0 releases. One UI 3.0 developer beta was recently announced for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 +, and Galaxy S20 Ultra phones. So far, the beta is only for approved developers, and as such we don’t know exactly what new features are available yet – but the operating system is based on Android 11.
