One mentally unstable boy admitted that his late mother told him to burn down his grandmother’s house.
The terrible incident occurred in Kampung Gong Tok Nasek, Kuala Terengganu at around 8:00 p.m.
The boy’s grandmother, Juriah Salleh, said that her 14-year-old grandson was left alone at his grandmother’s house.
Meanwhile the father and grandmother of the boy are visiting their relatives.
He immediately rushed to the burning house after their neighbors told them about it.
She asked the mentally unstable boy why he set the house on fire.
He replied that he saw his mother, who was already dead, ordering him to burn his grandmother’s house with paper and matches.
The strange actions and behavior of the grandson did not surprise him anymore.
Because she explained that the boy had been having mental and emotional problems lately.
According to Astro Awani, Rozizah Abni Hajar, Head of the Kuala Terengganu Fire and Rescue Station, stated that 19 firefighters rushed to the site after receiving a warning.
The whole house made of wood was completely destroyed.
The police chief reported that before the fire department arrived, the boy managed to find a safe place.
Fortunately, the firefighters managed to control the fire from spreading to the next house.
