A shop selling the famous bamboo biryani in Batu Uban, Malaysia has been ordered to close.
Local health finds the sight repulsive.
The officers found the products they produced were rotten.
Not only that, the officer showed the bamboo used to cook and cook rice full of cockroaches.
According to health officials, this is very worrying.
According to Berita Harian, Mohd Wazir Khalid, Environmental Health Officer from the Food Safety and Quality Division (BKKM) of the Penang Health Department, reported that the condition of the kitchen was completely dirty and unsatisfactory.
Another finding that the health examiners saw was that there was animal droppings all over the building’s exterior entrances.
In addition, they also found the kitchen floor was covered with water because there was no drainage cover, so water could not flow out of the property.
The owner of the place later confessed to the Health Officer that he was selling bamboo biryani cooked from a place in their stall located on Jalan Pantai Jerejak.
Health officials believe the owners of the premises have been involved in illegal activities for the past two years and they will ask the Penang State Mining and Land Office to indicate the land status of the property.
