Reporting from Storypick (17 September) this story was first shared by a doctor named Doctor Urvi Shukla MD on Twitter. He shared his experience of getting free rice as a gift from one of his patients.
“There is a grandfather who just recovered from COVID-19, after being treated in the ICU for 15 days. (For 12 days he had to be on a ventilator),” wrote Doctor Urvi.
“He is a COVID-19 patient who is free of charge or free. However, this grandfather still wants to show his gratitude to the team of doctors who have treated him.
Because he owns rice fields and grows his own rice, he finally gave us free rice from his fields, “continued Doctor Urvi.
