The old man named Pritam Singh, a resident of Akkanwali village of Mansa district consumed the poisonous substance and he died at a hospital on Friday morning.

But the farmers’ organization claimed that he was under debt.
As information, farmers across several parts of the country have been protesting for days, for against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020.
The demonstrations are the strongest in the two agrarian states of Punjab and Haryana. Farmers fear they will no longer get paid while commission agents fear they will lose their commission.
And the farmers also protesting against the newly-passed Bills, leading to a reduction of farmers’ bargaining power and crippling them financially.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that farmers across the country will soon stage protests on the streets.
