As a result of the pandemic, the hospitality industry is expected to face more tough times ahead.
An industry expert told as cited News24xx.com from Mirror that, more than 500,000 jobs predicted to be gone by the end of the year, after the local lockdown restrictions and the curfew had been hitting trade for pubs, bars, and restaurants.
The boss of trade body the UK Hospitality told a Treasury Select Committee also confirmed that there is a downturn in customer confidence which has hit hospitality firms in recent weeks.
Kate Nicholls, chief executive of the industry group, anticipated that 560,000 additional job losses by the end of the year.
Ms. Nicholls also sounded the alarm that redundancies are also expected to spike at the end of the month.
