In a tragic incident, a beautiful girl named Chaima Sadou, 19, was allegedly tortured, raped, and burned alive in Algiers, Algeria.
She raped by the same man, that previously jailed for a sex attack on her three years ago, after he was released from prison.
The suspect, known as Rayan, is said to have kidnapped and murdered her, before raped her many times and burned her body and abandoned it in an petrol station in Thenia, 40 miles from Algeria’s capital Algiers, on October 2, 2020.
Her charred remains were found by eyewitness. From the investigation, the alleged murder took place at around 3pm on October 1, 2020.
As information, in 2016, Rayan was jailed for three years following the first sex attack that he did to Sadou. Since that time, Sadou tried to rebuild her life.
After the murder, the suspect turned himself over to the local authorities. Rayan have confessed he had lured the victim to the scene, then he beat and raped her before dousing her in petrol and setting her alight.
Sadou’s mother believes Rayan was revenge after spending his time behind bars, and she made an impassioned plea calling for the suspected killer to be sentenced to death.
The prosecutor said that an investigation was launched. From the investigation to the victim’s body, known that several bruises as well as large wounds on the back of her skull and on the top of her left thigh were found.
The killing has sparked outrage throughout Algeria and in France, where the hashtag #JeSuisChaima was quickly shared on Twitter.
The Algerian government has imposed a moratorium on the death penalty since 1993. But, no death penalty has been carried out since then.
