A man initials SH was arrested by the Resort Police (Polres) Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) because he was proven to have stolen a motorbike which was parked in the courtyard of the Grand Mosque of Al-Huda Tembilahan.
The theft itself took place on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020.
Based on that information, the Port Area Police personnel were ordered by the Head of the Port Area Police, IPTU Ridwan to go to the TKP, when the Port Area Police personnel arrived at the location of the incident, the Port Area Police personnel took action to record witnesses, view CCTV and bring evidence to the Port Area Police.
After that, the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Port Area Police Intelligence Unit conducted a series of investigations into the report.
Finally on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020 at around 11 pm, local time, information was obtained that the suspect SH was at Jalan Gerilya, Tembilahan Hulu Village, Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
Based on this information, the Police Head of the IPTU RIDWAN Port Area ordered its members to make arrests.
Then the Opsnal Members of the Port Area Police headed straight to Gerilya street.
After arriving at Gerilya street the suspect was found, who was then immediately secured and taken to the Port Area Police.
From the results of the investigation, the suspect admitted to having stolen one unit of the motorcycle, which he hid in the Sungai Piring area.
“Currently, the suspect and evidence have been secured at the Port Area Police for further investigation,” explained Inhil Police Chief, AKBP Dian Setyawan through the Head of Sub-Section for Public Relations of Indragiri Hilir Police, AKP Warno.
