In a tragic incident, three young sisters were the victims of a horrific acid attack in Paska village, Gonda in India’s Uttar Pradesh..
Believed, a man climbed up to the open bedroom window on the second floor of the girls’ family home – while they were sleeping in bed. Then, the culprit then threw an acidic liquid through the window in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
From the police report, the eldest sister, aged 17, suffered major burns to her face and chest after the horror attack. Then, two younger sisters, aged 8 and 12, suffered minor injuries to their hands.
Now, they were admitted to the district hospital where they are receiving medical treatment. Known, that the three young victims are from the Dhobi community and belong to the Dalit caste.
Officers believe the flammable liquid was a chemical often used in toilet cleaner.
There have been no arrests made but a police investigation has been opened into the incident.
