During the pandemic, the number of men that dying from cancer in private homes since the start of the year is increasing by about 50 percent higher than the five-year average.
As cited News24xx.com from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the figures appear to show the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on health services across England.
The ONS confirmed the excess deaths have mostly been deaths not involving Covid-19.

At least 25,472 deaths occured in private homes in England up to September 11.
And 2,358 (nine percent) were deaths involving Covid-19, while 23,114 (91 percent) were non-Covid excess deaths.
The cause of deaths in private homes in England for males : - Heart disease is 26 percent higher than the five-year average.
- Prostate cancer deaths have increased 53 percent
- Bowel cancer is up 46 percent.
- Wales
At least 1,624 excess deaths in private homes, with 134 (eight percent) were deaths involving Covid-19. And 1,490 (92 percent) were non-Covid excess deaths.
The cause of deaths in private homes in Wales for males : - Heart disease is up 23 percent on the five-year average,
- Prostate cancer deaths have increased 75 percent
- Bowel cancer deaths are up 52 percent.
All figures cover deaths that were registered between March 14 and September 11.
