Manchester United defender Alex Telles has confirmed positive for Covid-19, according to an official Premier League statement through Twitter.
However, Telles is not showing any symptoms, said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“He will now have to go into quarantine for several days.”
This situation made Solskjaer unable to bring down the Brazilian when the Red Devils scored a stylish 5-0 victory over German club RB Leipzig in the Champions League at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Telles expressed his gratitude to all parties, especially the club supporters who sent messages wishing for a soon recovery.
“I am in good health and under quarantine and will soon be back with my teammates to strengthen the club’s challenge. Thank you again for all the messages sent to me,” said the 27-year-old star.
