The number of potholes in Tembilahan can endanger passing road riders.
Therefore, Kodim 0314 / Inhil initiated the Movement to Care for Damaged Roads in Tembilahan together with the Inhil Police, PSMTI, PUPR Office and the community to repair damaged roads for safety and security for road users.
When interviewed by media crews Monday (26/10/2020), Dandim 0314 / Inhil Lt. Col. Inf Imir Faishal said, Move to Care for Damaged Roads is a move for safety and security for road users.
“We know that towards the end of the year in Inhil district, there will be high tides and the rainy season. Therefore, if the road has a hole and is covered with water, this can result in accidents for motorists, therefore Move Care for Damaged Roads is carried out to make improvements to the road. “The roads are damaged at several points in the city of Tembilahan. Hopefully when there is a puddle of water in the hole, the hole will no longer be the cause of road user accidents,” said Dandim 0314 / Inhil.
Lieutenant Colonel Inf Imir Faishal also thanked the Chairperson of the Inhil DPRD, Inhil Police, PSMTI and other elements and the community who had participated in supporting so that this Road Care Movement could run.
“We are doing this as much as we can, hopefully this can minimize road accidents. Activities involving all elements of the TNI, Polri, PSMTI, and the Chairman of the DPRD are also present today, hopefully it can raise public awareness to care. the surrounding environment, “he said.
The Dandim also said that today the activity is focused on targeting holes in the 10-11 Tembilahan ditch and in the future there will be regular and continuous repairs at other target points in Tembilahan city.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of DPRD Inhil Ferryandi appreciated the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (PSMTI) and the community who had become initiators in order to care and pay attention to the needs of the community.
“High rainfall and high tides, this will be a problem if you add a hole covered with puddles on the road. This is certainly a problem for us together. In the future we will routinely maintain this road, we will order Commission III to call the PUPR Service. discussing this, “explained Ferryandi.
In addition, it is not just roads, H Ferryandi also said that grainage must also be continuously pursued in Tembilahan city to make it better. Of course, it is also hoped that people’s participation can continue to be encouraged.
