Yulisman was officially proposed as the chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Riau to replace Indra Gunawan Eet, who was running for the Bengkalis regional election.
The proposal to replace the chairman was announced by the deputy chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Riau Hardianto at the plenary meeting on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Regional House of Representatives of Riau building.
Hardianto said, in accordance with the rules of the DPRD Riau Province Number 1 2020 Article 56 Paragraph (1) letter A.
DPRD organization consist of the DPRD leadership and paragraph (6) in the case of the replacement of DPRD apparatus members as referred to in paragraph (2), shall be determined by the DPRD in Plenary Session.
Furthermore, Hardianto added, based on a decree from the group’s central leadership Works Number: B-484 / GOLKAR / XI / 2020 concerning Approval Change of Time for the Leadership of the Riau Province DPRD for the remainder of the 2019-2024 term of office on November 10, 2020.
The decree stipulates to revoke the decision of the party’s central leadership council Golkar Number: R-1035 / GOLKAR / IX / 2019 dated 12 September 2019, regarding the Stipulation of candidates for the Riau Province DPRD Leadership from the Golkar Party Faction to appoint and proposed the appointment of H. Indra Gunawan Eet as Chairman of the Riau Provincial DPRD and declared no longer valid.
Furthermore, proposing the replacement of the DPRD Leadership Element Riau Province from the Golkar Party faction to Yulisman S.Si
Then followed up through a letter from the Golkar Party Regional Leadership Council Number: B-74 / DPD / GOLKAR-R / XI / 2020
regarding the Proposed Appointment of the Chairperson of the Riau DPRD on November 11, 2020 Proposing the Appointment Yulisman, S.Si as Chair of the Riau Provincial DPRD, the remaining 2019-2024 term from the Golkar Party faction.
After completing the plenary session, Yulisman said that he is currently just waiting for the process to the inauguration.
“We just wait for the process first. Hopefully it will be soon,” said Yulisman.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Riau DPRD, Muflihun said that the next stage after the plenary session was that his party would immediately send the minutes of the meeting.
