After getting off the plane from the United States, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo was arrested at Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport while with his family.
The Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Nurul Ghufron said that he was arrested by the airport on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
As cited News24xx.com from Kompas.com, Ghufron said that he was arrested at 01.23 am, local time at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang.
“There were several KKP and their families,” he said.
The arrests were made because of allegations of corruption related to the export of lobster fries or seeds.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Commissioner Alexander Yurikho confirmed this arrest.
After carrying out an arrest or hand-arrest operation (OTT), the KPK then has 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties that are secured in this OTT. It is not yet known when the KPK will hold a conference related to this OTT.
