To house vaccine doses in 27 regencies and cities in the province in West Java, now the West Java administration’s COVID-19 and the economic recovery task force has prepared refrigerators and cold storage rooms for mass vaccination efforts.
As cited News24xx.com from West Java secretary and task force head Setiawan Wangsaatmaja said the province had 1,462 refrigerators at 1,087 community health centers (Puskesmas) as well as 259 cold storage rooms.
Setiawan said the administration was seeking to ensure that the vaccination process would go smooth and had carried out vaccination simulations in Depok.
Setiawan said the administration would seek to educate the public about a future COVID-19 vaccine.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil previously asked the central government for at least three million doses of a future COVID-19 vaccine for residents of Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi.
About 16 million people live in three cities. Ridwan said the central government would be responsible for the distribution of a future vaccine to the regions.
