Are you worried that your cat doesn’t like you?
Alexa developers claim to have created a new application that can translate your cat miaow.
The clerk behind the new pet kit says they can articulate how much your cat hates your presence – and if it’s hungry.
MeowTalk claims to convert cat purrs and meows into English.
Based on the assumption that cats have nine specific “intentions” that they try to do their best.
Over the years, fear developed among cat owners that their furry beast was planning their destruction.
“Through this application, we can know more about their desires, or at least their mood. Or if they want more food.”
There are 13 phrases in the app’s vocabulary includes: ‘Feed me,’ ‘I get angry,’ and ‘Leave me alone.’
Javier Sanchez, the group’s technical program manager at application developer Akvelon, says this could be a pretty useful tool.
“I think it’s important right now because, with all the social distancing that’s going on, you have people cooped up with cats,” he said.
“This will allow them to communicate with their cat, or at least understand their cat’s intentions, and build relationships that are very important.”
Each cat meow is surprisingly unique – and tailored to the owner’s level of attention.
Instead of a common database for cat voices, app translations vary for each profile.
This app is available for free on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
It’s not clear if there is a need for dogs – which are known to be much easier to read.
