Polda Metro Jaya has named Rizieq Shihab, the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) as a suspect in the crowd case. Determination of the suspect based on the results of the case title.
“There are 6 who have been named as suspects. First, the organizer is MRS’s brother (Rizieq Shihab),” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Thursday, December 10.
Rizieq Shihab was charged with Article 160 and Article 216 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, the other five suspects were the wedding committee for Rizieq’s daughter, Syarifah Najwa Shihab.
“(The suspect) is the head of the HU committee, the committee secretary is brother A, MS is in charge, SL is in charge of the event, and HI is the head of the event section,” said Yusri.
The status of the case for the alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) at the wedding ceremony of Rizieq Shihab’s daughter was upgraded from investigation to investigation.
Based on the previous title of the case, the police found an alleged violation of Law number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. Investigators then collect evidence that supports the alleged violation.
